Smart Sentinel

Multimodal sensor system for persistent situational awareness

_ Overview

Smart Sentinel delivers persistent threat awareness through distributed multimodal sensing. Diverse sensors ensure confident threat classification. Rapidly deployable, operationally independent, designed to scale

_ Core capabilites

Multimodal sensor fusion

Five sensor modalities including EO/IR camera, acoustic array, RF detector,. Advanced AI fuses data from each sensor in real-time, enabling rapid threat confirmation and significantly reducing false positives compared to single or even dual-sensor systems.

Multimodal ground truth

Parallel data collection across five independent sensor modalities enables continuous cross-verification of every detection. This creates ground-truth intelligence that's fact-checked in real-time by multiple independent sources, a level of confidence unmatched by any other deployable system. The result: faster decisions, higher accuracy, and operational trust that single or dual-sensor platforms cannot deliver.

All-weather, all-hours operation

Reliable performance across diverse conditions. IR and acoustic capabilities maintain effectiveness when visual detection is degraded.

Contested environment resilience

Passive, non-emitting operation ensures the system remains undetectable. Functions effectively in contested electronic warfare environments where other systems fail. Self-healing MANET mesh architecture ensures network persistence even when individual nodes are compromised.

Adaptive threat recognition

Detects and classifies diverse threats including small UAS (including non-RF-emitting FPV drones), fixed-wing aircraft, ground vehicles (from individual person to armoured vehicles), UGVs, and emerging autonomous systems. AI models continuously improve through field deployment and can be trained for novel threat types

Edge AI processing

On-device processing enables operation with no network connectivity. Each node performs threat detection and classification locally, sharing only low-bandwidth metadata across the mesh without dependence on cloud infrastructure or backhaul connectivity.

  • Edge AI, no network required

  • Self-healing MANET mesh, wired or wireless

  • <5 minutes per node, auto-discovery

  • Unlimited nodes across unlimited operational area

  • IPX4, operational -20°C to 50°C

  • Tripod, vehicle-mounted, fixed installation

  • 5 Modalities including EO camera, IR camera, acoustic array and RF.

  • 200m to 20km split modal performance.

  • 30cm × 30cm × 55cm

  • 8kg

  • 90W

  • Mains, rechargeable battery (24hr operation), solar-compatible

_ Deployment configurations

  • Distributed area coverage for borders, critical infrastructure, or contested zones. Nodes automatically form mesh networks and share threat intelligence across the operational area.

  • Vehicle-mounted for rapid response, convoy protection, or dynamic perimeter establishment. Setup in under 5 minutes enables immediate operational capability.

  • No external communications, power, or GPS required. Operates autonomously with solar power and mesh networking in austere or degraded environments.

_ Integration & Interoperability

  • Designed for integration with NATO STANAG protocols and existing battlefield management systems. Output feeds directly into operational C2 infrastructure.

  • Compatible with existing surveillance and security systems. Can operate as standalone network or integrate with broader sensor architecture.

  • Internet connectivity optional. System operates independently whilst maintaining capability to share intelligence with external systems when connectivity is available.

_ Operational advantages

  • Low-latency detection and multi-modal confirmation enables faster, more confident decision-making. Sensor fusion significantly reduces false positives that plague single-sensor systems.

  • Designed for wide fielding at a fraction of traditional system costs. Strategic affordability enables strategic scale—deploy hundreds of nodes rather than tens of platforms.

  • Passive operation and mesh networking ensure operational security. No dependence on vulnerable communications infrastructure or satellite connectivity.
